At the un-rock 'n' roll-like hour of 8:30am on Saturday, April 5th, the Illbillys
found themselves in downtown Richmond, playing to runners in this, purported to be the
third-largest 10K run
in the US. Through Jack's tireless promotional efforts, they had secured a choice spot on
Malvern & Monument, in front of the beautiful and generous Westminster Presbyterian Church.
It rained almost the entire three nonstop hours they played, making for some wet but
enthusiastic runners. Over 24,000 participants came to run, walk or toddle in
this race, all of whom passed by the Illbillys!
