Richmond classic rock radio station 96.5 THE PLANET was stationed just across the way from the Illbillys, on the median strip that runs down Monument Avenue.

THE PLANET had erroneously yet understandably reported that a band called Grendel would be playing at the Illbilly location
at Monument 'n' Malvern the day before, since Grendel HAD been originally slated to play there. What did happen to Grendel?
