Not long after their Bandito's show, the Illbillys dragged themselves back to Manquin, location of the previous year's performance for Jennifer's bday party, where they played for Jennifer's neighbor, Jocye, and an uncertain collection of her friends and acquaintences. It rained on & off all afternoon, and though the band was partially protected by playing on Joyce's front porch and whatever umbrellas & tarps Peter's brother-in-law Russell could rig up, they still had to stop and wait when the rain became insistant.
