The Illbillys' station was some two "kilometers" (being thoroughly American, I still can't quite make myself believe there's actually such a thing as a kilometer) from the finish line, so by the time Tilahun Regassa flew past them, he was already in the lead, destined to win the race (despite all the items that Jake threw at him) with a time of 28 minutes and 21 seconds. The guy ran 10 "kilometers" in less than half an hour! He hails from Ethiopia, where, assumedly, they possess no wheeled transport whatsoever, but they do have lots of those "kilometers."
