JB was born in Farmville, VA, and has seldom strayed far from his tribe's traditional hunting grounds, centered in the Powhatan area. He attended Radford University, obtaining a degree that qualified him for Julie McCoy's job on the Love Boat, but, fortunately for the rest of us, he instead chose to marry his college sweetheart Jill, settle down within rifle range of plenty of game animals, and have a brilliant and strikingly handsome son.
During his college years, JB sang in the bands Academic Probation and JB and the Jeterbugs, entertaining the highbrow, teetotaling events that are so common at Radford University. He played onstage in Rochester, NY in 1990 as rhythm guitar and backing vocalist for the Billy Goats.

After college, JB was a member of the Fiendish Thingies, and is currently serving terms as both the guitar-wielding half of Peter and Jeter and lead pipes with the Venture Rays.
JB reports that he likes all kinds of music, from the Who to Southern Culture on the Skids to Louis Prima to ol' Hank, but has been influenced primarily by the Beatles, Jethro Tull and the Doors.

JB lives in scenic Flat Rock, VA with his lovely wife Jill and aforementioned brilliant and strikingly handsome son, Jake. And ancient cat Abby. But we won't mention her.
Few things in life would give JB greater pleasure than an email from a devoted fan such as yourself!
