The Illbillys hit the stage in their classic 3-man configuration, along with Joe, apparently taking a moment to perform some much-needed repairs on the band's Norden bombsight.
All the other performers @ the 2008 Beef & Music Festival may have had relatively large crowds of dedicated admirers piled in front of the stage, but the Illbillys had a constant presence of four or five youngsters who flung themselves about in a most heroic fashion.
