From onstage, it's difficult to gauge the satisfaction of the crowd to which you're playing unless they either throw chairs at you or dance. Though perhaps not the only criterium by which a band should judge an audience's music-induced happiness, if you've got 'em dancing, it's a pretty reliable sign that they're enjoying themselves.
Thanks to the demographic-killing hour, there wasn't a whole lot of dancing through this show...a few hardy souls did, however, trip the light fantastic.
