In his capacity as Master of Ceremonies at Grandpa Eddie's, Jack is required by law to "say a few words" before the beginning of an evening's festivities. This he accomplishes with great skill and professionalism, but such "words" need forethought, in the form of "notes." Without which, he might easily forget that Grandpa Eddie's serves food.
