The golf course was SUCH a beautiful place to hold the event, the pavilion in which it took place was perfect, and the weather couldn't have been improved. In short, everything went suspiciously well...until the Secret Police waded into the crowd, billyclubs flailing!!*

*That didn't happen. Everything WAS perfect. That paragraph just seemed to need some punch at the end.
