Sunday, July 2nd, 2006: Sandy Hook, VA, way the HECK removed from any form of civilization whatsoever. I mean, I just drove & drove & drove. "When will I stop driving," I wondered as I drove. The answer was never, for I am still driving. As I drive, I remember that this event for which the Illbillys played had more to do with the Kellys' family getting together for dad's birthday than it did with the proximity to the 4th of July, although red, white & blue made for a convenient party color scheme! This event was noteworthy also for the mysterious addition of one more presence onstage (well...STAGE in this case being the ground with the woods behind it)...never before has there been a guitar alongside JB's! What the HECK is going on, you may axe? Well, I'm sure not gonna tell ya.
