After having played once last year @ Woodlake's Swim 'n'
Racquet Club in sunny Chesterfield, the Illbillys were asked back to play this
year's first Friday Cheers there! It was the Swim & Racquet Club's 20th
birthday...and A LOT* of residents turned up for the event! Despite much in the
way of heat, forbidden water (so close and yet so far from the sweltering band!)
and lots of long lines of hungry & thirsty event attendees absorbing the music
in a generally neutral manner, everyone emerged without much in the way of
permanent physical damage.

*There were two nice ladies guarding the gate at this event, bravely holding back the eager, bathing-suit-clad throng with only two laptops until they were properly checked in...I asked one of the nice ladies if there was an OFFICIAL COUNT of how many showed up to this, the first Friday Cheers of the year...and the answer? Well, since their computers had been down half the time they'd been checking people in, the official number was...A LOT.
